ServiceNow to acquire cybersecurity startup Armis for $7.75B

Enterprise software company ServiceNow has agreed to acquire Armis, a cybersecurity startup founded nine years ago, for $7.75 billion in cash. This significant purchase price marks a remarkable valuation jump for Armis. In fact, just last month, Armis completed a $435 million pre-IPO funding round, which valued the company at $6.1 billion. The acquisition signals a substantial increase in worth for Armis within a short period. Armis co-founder and CEO Yevgeny Dibrov stated previously that the company aimed to go public in late 2026 or 2027 and described an IPO as his “personal dream.”
Armis Growth and ServiceNow’s Strategic Expansion
Because IPO markets remain unpredictable, and few cybersecurity companies actually reach the public market, Armis’s decision to pursue an M&A exit is not surprising. According to ServiceNow, Armis has achieved $340 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), with growth rates exceeding 50% year-over-year. This strong performance attracted ServiceNow, which can now broaden its cybersecurity portfolio by incorporating Armis’s technology and expertise. Armis provides security software designed for critical infrastructure, serving Fortune 500 companies and governments worldwide. As a result, this acquisition will allow ServiceNow to strengthen its offerings for its global clientele.
Acquisition Activity and Investor Support
The Armis deal concludes a busy acquisition year for ServiceNow. Earlier, the company acquired Moveworks for $2.85 billion and announced plans to purchase cybersecurity startup Veza for $1 billion. Notably, Armis has raised $1.45 billion in venture capital from respected investors such as Sequoia, CapitalG, and Insight Partners, according to PitchBook. With these substantial investments and rapid revenue growth, the acquisition represents a strategic move for both ServiceNow and Armis, marking another significant milestone in the evolving enterprise cybersecurity landscape.
